Cotopaxi: The Libre Socks

Hey Backers,

First off, a huge thank you from all of us here at the Cotopaxi team for a successful campaign with the Libre Socks. It truly is amazing to see the support and excitement from a project that we have been working on for so long. A few updates here to let you know what’s happening at Cotopaxi and with your socks:

Post Campaign

As the initial campaign wraps up tonight, the campaign will roll into Indiegogo InDemand, allowing people to still back the campaign. New perks have just been put in place for January estimated delivery.

Survey

Expect to receive a survey next week to select your sock sizes and colors, as well as to confirm your mailing address. We’ll send an Indiegogo update when that is ready to go out, and to answer FAQs around the survey.

December Delivery

We are still on track to send out most socks in December, but unfortunately will not be able to deliver by the holidays as we had hoped. This is due to a materials delay with the unique llama fiber coming out of Bolivia, which something out of our control. The fiber is now on track to be delivered to the Wigwam factory within the next 10 days, and sock construction will be in full force once it arrives. Wigwam and Cotopaxi are confident that we will be able to produce the first 5,000 pairs and have them delivered to our U.S. warehouse on 12/22. Giving a couple days for receiving and preparing for packaging, those first 5,000 pairs should be delivered to U.S. backers by the end of the year (International & EU perks will be sent out after the new year). The remaining units will arrive in the weeks shortly thereafter, meaning that those who backed after 10/20 (Order number 800+) will receive them in January instead of December.

We apologize for the delay, but cannot wait to get these socks on your feet. If anything changes in terms of the timeline, we will post here to keep you updated.

Gift Cards

If your order included a gift card, these gift cards will be sent out digitally in the coming weeks (before socks are physically delivered) to the email linked with your Indiegogo purchase. We will post an update when those gift cards have been sent so that you can keep an eye out for them.

Thank you, thank you!

Less than 10 days and almost 4,000 pairs of socks later, we are $65,000+ funded! 

We are looking forward to Libre Sock production and to start shipping in December.  As mentioned in our campaign, our goal is to make the initial 10,000 units of socks available for holiday delivery, which we’ll be able to verify at the end of October. We’re not there yet, but once confirmed, we’ll update backers through an Indiegogo update. If we are able to ship in time for holiday delivery, backers will be able to pay for Expedited Shipping to ensure holiday delivery. Fingers crossed!
