Happy Friday, backers! We wanted to give you the latest update on your Libre Socks as it's been a few weeks:
Since our last update, our product team has met with some of the Wigwam team and our suppliers at Outdoor Retailer and continued to try to get as many updates as we can. Here's the latest.
- Our dyehouse in the south was hit with extreme winter weather mid-late January, which caused their facility to close for several days and pushed delivery of the yarn back about a week. Yarn was delivered to Wigwam to earlier this month.
- The GOOD news is that the remaining socks are in production and the production team at Wigwam is forecasting our order to exit from the factory around March 16th. Giving about a week to ship to SLC and a couple days to receive socks into inventory, we should be seeing your socks ship out to you at the end of March. Later than we have anticipated, but we're confident that these socks are top notch!
- The 3,500 pairs of socks that were knit/finished and mentioned in our last update are still at Wigwam's factory (these are only a couple styles/sizes, so not enough to ship out full orders). They will be delivered to the Cotopaxi warehouse with the rest of the shipment to go out at the end of March.
If you have any changes to make to your order, or have changed addresses since you filled out your initial survey, please make sure it is all up to date by going to libresocks.backerkit.com. If you're unable to figure out where to update your info, send us an email to [email protected] and our team will get everything set straight. We'll be locking down surveys when we get confirmation from the factory that they're headed our way.
We realize that by taking a risk on crowdfunding, you're taking a chance on us and that production and delivery dates might not go as initially planned planned. We’re doing our absolute best to get them into your hands as quickly as possible without compromising quality. Thanks to each of you for your support and your patience as we get these socks finished up and prepare for shipments. We'll send another update next week and hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Backers,
We hope you all had a great weekend. We wanted to send out a short update on your socks and let you know that there are no changes since our last update. Shipments are still on track for late February/early March.
About 3,500 pairs of socks were knit/finished last week with available colorways in the new specialty polyester wicking fiber. All other style/colorways are still set to start knitting between 1/17-1/24 based on the bulk delivery and color approval.
Our estimated timeline for the first 7,500 pairs is mid-February to be landed in Salt Lake City, but we are continuing to message March to give us all some cushion and to help manage expectations.

Hi Backers,
It’s been a couple weeks, so here’s the latest update with everything we know.
Upon continued testing, we have made the decision to change the Hydrotec polyester to a fiber in a larger size. The larger yarn size will resolve a looping and snagging issue that showed after some extended wear on samples. This new polyester is a specialized wicking and moisture management polyester fiber, like the initial Hydrotec. The overall look, feel, and function of the Libre Socks remain unchanged.
That said, this unfortunately delay shipments into late February/early March. We would much rather deliver socks that are top-notch quality instead of socks that won’t live up to your (and our) expectations. Quality is key, and we hope you understand and bear with us as we make this right.
Final llama fiber from Bolivia was received at the Wigwam factory last week. They are starting to knit some colorways based on color availability on the speciality polyester wicking fiber. All other style/colorways will start knitting between 1/17-1/24 based on color approval and bulk delivery of the new speciality polyester wicking fiber. Our estimated timeline for the first 7,500 units is mid-February to be landed in Salt Lake City, but we are messaging March to give us all some cushion and to help manage expectations.

Other items ordered with Libre Sock
All items ordered with your Libre Socks will be included in that same package. We are unable to ship out items separately or in separate shipments.

You'll need to know your email address that's linked to your Indiegogo account.
In this survey, you're going to tell us:
- Which color/style socks you would like to receive
- What sizes those socks will need to be
- Your shipping address to send your gear
- What additional items you'd like to purchase at a special discount and have shipped with your current reward This is your only chance to purchase these add-ons at the special discount.
Regarding gift cards: If your perk included a $25 or $50 gift card, these will be sent out digitally very soon.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a 3rd party that has helped some of the biggest crowdfunding campaigns collect data and assist with fulfillment. We are using it because it helps us out a great deal, allowing us to save you time and focus on getting your Libre Socks out. If you do not want to use BackerKit, you can private message us and we can handle your information manually. You can find some more info about them near the end of this update.
A few more things on BackerKit, in case you have questions.
You will not need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email will contain a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.
